Important Information about STI Home

The Kentucky Department of Education is converting all school districts across the state to new student information management software. The new program, named Infinite Campus, will be internet-based.  This change is scheduled to take place on November 7, 2007 for the Fayette County Public Schools.  There are many advantages to the new system and we are very excited about the transition.  Some of the benefits include the elimination of social security numbers as student numbers, the ability to track student data changes as they happen and a system of data storage that is more secure and centrally controlled.

With the conversion to the new system, STI Home (the current parent internet access to student grades system) will be replaced with the new Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  When our schools begin using Infinite Campus on November 7, no new data will be entered into STI, and STI Home will be disabled.

Infinite Campus requires that students and parents be entered into a “household”. You have already received some information about households and we appreciate your efforts in returning the information form we sent home.  Parents will have access to the new system after the state has created a household for each family.

During the transition there will be a few weeks before parents will be able to access their students’ grade and attendance information.  Correctly entering household information will ensure that parents can only view their students’ information.  Information about accessing the Parent Portal will be sent to you once parent access is up and running. Please be patient during this transition. As always, parents are encouraged to contact schools to get current information about their students’ grades and attendance.
