FREE! “Live
Homework Help” “Live
Homework Help” is a unique, Internet-based tutoring program
that connects students, in grades 4-12, with expert tutors in the
subject areas of Math, Science, English, and Social Studies.
Tutors are located all across the U.S. and consist of certified
teachers, college professors, and graduate students, each of whom has
been through a 7 year background check through Kroll America.
Admission to Live Homework Help, through the Library’s website,
requires a Library card. Students
receive one-on-one help, in an online classroom, through voice
technology, chat interface, multiple whiteboards, math tools, document
sharing, and browser control. Though
the program is designed for 20 minute sessions, tutors will continue to
a logical break point. At
that time, a student can print a copy of all chats and all whiteboard
work, temporarily sign off, use the new information obtained through
working with the tutor, then sign on again for additional sessions in
the same or a different subject area. “Live
Homework Help” is a FREE
service provided by the Lexington Public Library.
It can be accessed from home, from work, from school, from inside
the Library, or from anywhere students have computers (except
Macs) with Internet Access.

Library’s website, www.lexpublib.org,
